Our company will hold its first BOA meeting on Saturday, August 21st from 10 a.m. to noon with lunch to follow, at our office in Marina, CA (near Monterey). We are looking for one or a few outside participants with good business expertise and creativity to contribute. I imagine this to be on a reciprocity basis and for mutual benefit with myself or others in our team volunteering to participate in your future BOA meeting.
The focus of the meeting will be on medium-term issues, and the purpose is to provide our CEO and CFO with a sounding board and new ideas for their execution. Our company is currently executing a specific five-year strategy related to an ownership transition a year ago. In addition, we hold an annual partners (owners) meeting, the first of which was in Lake Tahoe earlier this year.
Prior to the BOA meeting, we will provide you with a brief CEO and a CFO status report listing progress and current issues from the perspective of these two executives. These reports are for you to consider prior to the meeting, and the issues therein are the focus of this first meeting. In addition, I will send you with the concluding white paper from the last annual meeting, and the 5-year transition plan. Both are brief documents (a few pages) that outline our long-term strategy and goals for the current year.
If that sounds interesting to you, please take a look at our web site

Thank you for your interest! I think these meetings will be quite insightful, and enjoyable, for all parties. I should point out that we are quite an informal group, in an informal industry. It’ll be the weekend, so come as you like and perhaps enjoy Monterey Bay afterwards.
