Can I contribute to ExpertCEO anonymously?

All communications within ExpertCEO are confidential, and only you control how your identity is used within the site. Depending upon the nature of each interaction, you can initiate discussions and sign comments as:

• Named: Your name, title and company
• General: Only show your industry and title, no name
• Anonymous: No information will be shown

 

How do I use the Discussions feature?

Select the Discussions tab on the menu bar and engage with members by asking questions (click "Start a Discussion"); respond with your own insights (click "Make a Comment"); or simply scroll through the list to glean valuable information by reviewing existing discussion threads that can be sorted by topic by clicking at the top of the column.

 

How do I invite other C-level executives to join ExpertCEO?

The site benefits from a wide array of perspectives. We encourage our Members to refer other C-level executives to ExpertCEO by simply clicking on the "Invite a CEO" button in the upper right portion of page. To be considered for membership, individuals must hold the title of CEO, COO, General Manager, President or Chairman. If an executive is "in transition", we will consider their membership based upon previous experience. All industries, geographies and company sizes are welcome. What is Ask the Expert and how do I use it?

Every few weeks, we feature a new industry expert. To engage with the expert, select the Ask the Expert tab from the menu bar. You can ask questions by clicking "Ask the Expert". The Expert can respond either privately to you, or publicly to all members. Since these experts are available for a short period of time, be sure to review the expert's previous responses, since your question may have already been answered, and ask your question early. Exchanges from previous experts will be archived, should you miss a topic of interest.

 

What are Resources?

The Resources area of the site is a searchable directory of service and goods providers focused on meeting the needs of C-level executives. To use this feature, select Resource from the menu bar and use the different search functions to find the company that can help you meet your business or personal needs. Be sure to read the member reviews of these resources for an objective opinion, and add your own comments (constructive, please!) about providers who have worked for you.

 

How does my company become a resource? How can I suggest additions to the directory?

At the upper right portion of every page, there is an "Invite a Resource" icon. Click there (or here) and it will help you send an invitation. We will ensure that prospective resources meet an acceptable level of professionalism in order to be admitted as a resource.

 

What is In the Spotlight?

This section, which is accessible from the lower portion of the home page, features "Speed Bumps" - interviews with executives that recount tales of when things didn't go exactly as planned ; cliff notes on must-read books, articles, and events; as well as other off-the-beaten track and compelling content.

 

How do I find out who else belongs to ExpertCEO?

Click on the Members tab to learn more about your network - you can sort the member list by industry and company size. To protect privacy, we do not publish the email addresses of our Member base. Instead, you are able to interact with Members by initiating and participating in discussions.

 

What if I need to change information in my Member profile?

You are able to update your profile at any time by clicking on "My Account" which is in the upper right corner of every ExpertCEO page.

 

I found a problem with the site, how do I report it?

We appreciate your feedback and will use it to make the site better. You can click on "Feedback" at the bottom any page to send us suggestions (or you can click here).

 

How do I change my password?

To change your password, simply click on "My Account", which is in the upper right corner of every ExpertCEO page.

 

What are the guidelines for participating in ExpertCEO?

ExpertCEO is a forum for members to exchange ideas freely in a confidential, secure setting. All members enter into a comprehensive Terms of Use agreement that mandates all communications within the site are confidential and will remain on the site. ExpertCEO will monitor the site for inappropriate content and will take necessary actions to remove the content and revoke membership when necessary. For members who want to promote their organization's offering to other members, they are able to do so within the Resource area, while any gratuitous postings as a member will be removed.
